We have a 2011 equinox with 91,000 miles on it and we're just told we have to replace the transmission for $4700. This is the first car I've owned in my life that has had such a short life span. Is it customary for the transmission to die on a 6 year old vehicle???? Obviously a surprise- would appreciate learning if there are other owners with similar issues. Chevy says it's past the 5 year mark for the Powertrain warranty, even though it's under the 100k miles....
