Heater core flush

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Has anyone flushed the heater core on a Seville? How hard is it to do? Looks to me that
the hoses into the firewall are hard to reach, because the A/C hoses are right above
them. Any tips?

If the hoses are easier to access on the water pump inlet you could flush the heater core using the hoses. Once the heater hoses are disconnected, run a garden hose to one of the lines and run fresh water through the heater core until clean water comes out the other hose. You could leave the hoses intact and buy a system flush kit. They are fairly inexpensive and this will flush the entire cooling system.

I can see one of the hoses already and it does look easier to access. I can't wait to have some heat again. Thank you.
