How do I replace a 2011 tucson alternator?

My alternator failed and I need to replace. I have the new unit.

De-tension the belt or remove it, disconnect the battery, unhook the wires to the alternator and unbolt it. Install in the reverse. Use a code saver if you have one otherwise you will lose settings for your radio and probably other things as well.

Ok, got the unit off, but there is no way to get it out. There is no space whatsoever to pull it out. Any ideas?
