2011 Chevrolet Malibu

Asked by Guru19TBZ Aug 18, 2019 at 07:02 PM about the 2011 Chevrolet Malibu 2LT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car was throwing codes for cam shaft position
sensors. Replaced upper sensor, continued to
have problems. Replaced lower sensor continued
to have problems and check engine light remained
on. Car totally bogged down and went in to low
engine power/service traction/service esc.
Checked codes again had crankshaft
angle/position sensor error (P0017, P0010, P0013,
P0016). Replaced crankshaft sensor. Check engine
light still on. Got low engine power... error. P0016
P0017 On my last nerve.

First check air filter make sure it is not clogged and if you use the low octane gas all the time try using the high octane gas had same problem replaced sensors and check engine light still came on started using the the high octane gas and after ten tank fills light is out still use the low octane gas but not all the time switch back and forth between low and middle octane gas.
