No. The CTS did not receive the Northstar V8. It was in the STS model and a few others. The CTS recieved a V6 engine. Consider yourself extremely lucky as well, as the Northstar engines are notorious for failure and a serious pain to work on. Very expensive to have a shop work on it as well.
