Hello I'm getting ready to buy me a 06 Cadillac CTS
the general says the car will start but then we'll die
since some guy said it was out but I don't think
that's really what it is is there anyway I can get this
car to stay running to where I can make it home
after I buy it or what really is wrong with this car
what do I need to look at to see what through the
wrong with it

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but plug in 1 of those diagnostic tools into it and see what codes it throws. That's always a good place to start.
