Why ask I having issues with AWD data error and engine light has come on?

My Ford 2005 Freestyle AWD has been on for quite
some time. Now the light has gone off and now it
states AWD data error. What would be the problem
that needs to fix this issue?
I also have the engine light on. However I am aware
that the seals need to be replace and oil needs
changing. What other issues am I having ?

Since the engine light is on, you can scan for the trouble codes to know what is going on. Have an auto part store scan the vehicle for free. Post the codes back here for additional help. Is your ABS light also on with the AWD? That would indicate a wheel speed sensor issue. Maybe the sensor maybe the tone ring is cracked?
