I have a 2004 escalade. When I start the SUV there is a ridiculous squeek. When I accelerate it gets louder. Is it the belts or a fan clutch. What could it be?

Check the idler,s on the serpintine belt,if not idler may be bad alternator bearing.

If it is the original equipment - serpentine belt or tension pulley would be the first place to look. This would be a normal repair for that age.
