A/c won't start unless I bang door

Sometimes yes, mostly no
Set temp to 60, start engine, if I don't bang the door shut, it won't go on
Even then, sometimes it docent do it
Where do I start looking

Sounds like an intermittent problem which points to a short. Have electrician look for the short

I thought it might be a bad connection somewhere. Where can I start looking for the problem. If I take it to the dealer, they'll see a cash cow.
