The loss of electrical power may not be related to the transmission woes. I've seen more than one towed vehicle that had left something on (like the ignition) for an extended period and drained the battery. You need to gain access to the battery and slap a charger on it. Believe you have jump ports under hood or you'll have to open trunk to access battery. I know older models have a manual open position for driver's door. If none on your model, you can access the starter motor red cable and a vehicle ground from beneath the vehicle to attach a charger and provide enough power to pop door or trunk locks.
