I have a 2002 540i BMW. WAS DRIVING, LOST POWER, NOW IT PUTTS  WHAT DO YOU THINK COULD BE THE PROBLEM.  JUST HAD A POWER STEERING REPLACED?

It likely has nothing to do with your power steering (fluid?) replaced. It definitely when into limp mode due to any number of various factors. You'll need to get the codes read. Did you turn off the engine and turn it back on and it behaved fine after by chance? It could be a camshaft position sensor that is misbehaving and will need to be replaced soon.
