radiator problems

So i was driving my car and turned the
corner and heard a loud pop! My engine area
started smoking. Not sure what exactly
happened. Car wouldnt start. Had to get it
towed back home. I think it due to a radiator
problem coolant area. One tow truck guy
said it might be the whole engine... I think he
wanted to buy the car.  Another tow truck
guy said its not the engine because if it was
then there would be oil on the ground
instead of coolant. Not sure what exact
problems is. All other fluids are still in place.  
Could it be the radiator or coolant reservoir
area.

Both the radiator and coolant reservoir are known to go bad on these cars. Check out both. Are there any noticeable breaks in hoses or components? You're engine is probably okay, this is definitely a problem with the cooling system. You didn't let it overheat, did you?
