want to change front bumper on my 2000 528i just wanted to know if it was a difficult process

Not at all. Simply remove the black trim, fog light wires and license plate frame. Then remove the screws attaching the fender wells and diffuser. The hardest part is removing the plastic pop rivets, six of them, by working the centers out first and then pulling the whole rivet out. The bumper cover should come right off. Easy.
