When driving may I step on the gas pedal and it don't accelerate

Insufficient information. It doesn't move at all, or its power is very low? BMW has a safe mode in which the engine won't go fast because there is something wrong needing to be fixed. Do you have any warning lights coming on?

Yes the check engine light is on and it shakes
