It is listed at $5000 and has 167k miles on it. The CarFax say that it spent its
life in Tampa Florida and Tacoma Washington. I was wondering if this would
be an advisable purchase, and how much I may need to spend in order to
keep this car running for the future. Thanks.

Have a BMW specialist check it out first. Budget for expensive repairs as nothing is cheap to fix on these cars.
