I have a 2003 BMW 325I. My oil light comes on only when my car is idling for a few minutes-not when I'm driving. If I press on the accelator (sp?) the light goes off. Any thoughts?

The light is red. I have already added oil, but like I said, it only comes on when the car is in idle. What does an oil pressure issue mean? Serious???
