malfunction in locking system in 2002 bmw 325 ci

the locking system did not open the passenger door The lever did not work either now it is working again

The lock motor could be failing, or it could also be the general module. Typically if you hear it try to move the lock, the motor is just worn out. You would need to replace the whole latch assembly.
