Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Guys i have a cadillac 2006 sts v8 base model, so
the front shocks are leaking, and the rear shocks
are completely gone, and i need to replace them,
but i found out that they are air shocks, and i can't
afford getting new air shocks because they are too
expensive, so i was thinking of replacing them with
gas shocks because they are cheap, it says that
they fit my vehicle, but i need some advices and i
want to know if they would fit or not

If the STS is in good condition, not beat.. repair the original system with the correct air suspension parts its (slightly) more in cost! Unless you don't buy right.. than a "conversion" which destroys the ride and the vehicles value. Every high line vehicle whether performance or luxury uses air suspension or electronic magnetic ride in 2016 a good reason not to change a '06 Cadillac. When you want to sell it you'll find out. Clean original Cadillac STS models bring $ one of last American V8 sedans
