2001 bmw 330 versus audi A6

I am about to buy a 2001 bmw 330 for use on my weekend short trips and wonder if anyone could tell
me how it compares against an audi 3.0 in terms of dependability, durability and overall maintenance.

You are looking at a dead heat as far as maintenance goes. It all depends on the previous owner's upkeep in either case. However, rear wheel drive vehicles are usually less to maintain due to steering components being separate from the driveline. Hopefully that helps. Personally, Bimmers are my preference due to easy of workability since I turn my own wrenches.
