Back seat removal 330i

Question type: Car Customization

My dad borrowed my car and put his dog in the back seat...  leaving it in the car for 5 minutes the dog shit on everything making everything to this day smell terrible! (happened about a year ago)

I was wondering if I can remove the back seats without having to deal with too much stripping or messing with electronic components

I would also think about adding new subs into that area, would that be possible without too much work because everything would be stripped already?

i'v had 3 bmw's and the rear seat removal have all been the same so far, the most recent being a 1997 318i. its actually quite simple. you have two "clips" at the front edge of the seat. all you would need to do is firmly pull the set up and you can remove the whole lower seat section. the computer box generally sits a lot lower down than the seat so this should not be a problem. with regards to the subs. where exactly do you want to put them? iv done both of mine in the boot. problem is that the boot is quite well sealed that a lot of the bass does not filter through. easiest way to solve this would be to port your back board. it could be difficult to pull the rca cable from your head unit to the amp as there may not be sufficient space or a hole that the cable can fit through.not im possible, but it can be done. i had a bit of a issue with the 318i but for some reason the 730i was much easier. hope this helps. rgds a B.M.W fan

JUST PULL!! pull upwards and it pops right out, by the way there is no such thing as a 2000 330i, the 330 did not come to the market untill 2001. 2000 would have to be either 323 or 328.

Hey, I've been scouting out a few 330ci's. If I do get one, I will be looking to put an upgraded sound system in it among other things. Does anyone know of head units that would incorporate the steering wheel audio controls? (if there are any) thanks
