BMW slow acceleration

Asked by Bigblue10 Dec 01, 2016 at 09:25 PM about the 2000 BMW 3 Series 328i Sedan RWD

Question type: General

i have a manual 2000 bmw 328i, it takes
me a long time to accelerate up to normal
speed, coming from a stop sign or stop
light once i get into second gear it takes
me a long time to get up to speed to shift
to 3rd when cars are already passing me
on my side, if i push down the gas all the
way to try and go quicker it starts bucking
like it's gonna stall until i release and only
give alittle gas, once i am in a gear like 4th
or 3rd i can push the gas harder and it will
go very quick in accouple seconds but
doesn't seem as responsive as it should
like it takes awhile to speed up. what could
the issue be? or is this normal for bmws?
