The maintenance manual provided with the car will tell you when, mileage or time, you need to change the transmission fluid.BMW recommends that the fluid and filter be changed at least every 60,000 miles, using the factory recommended ATF. About a transmission flush, I don't know, I always do the maintenance at the required intervals and have never done a flush to the engine/transmission.
