Where is my Jeep leaking coolant?

Asked by John Mar 24, 2020 at 12:40 AM about the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I’ve had several minor coolant leaks over the past
year. I’ve replaced the thermostat, radiator, and
resealed the gaskets under the oil filter housing.
After finishing the later, I refilled the coolant. To my
surprise, there is coolant from the bottom of the
Jeep in the location of the center console of the
front seats. It’s dripping down the exhaust from the
back of the engine (I’ve circled the two spots that
are dripping during the leak.), but I can’t seem to
place the leak, without tearing the thing apart. Not
being much of a mechanic I’m trying not to mess
up anything. Any suggestions of where to search?

the heater hose lines that go to the heater core in the firewall could be leaking.

John, This is not a coolant leak, More over it's a leak from the oil filter assembly/adapter located on the top of your engine where the oil filter is changed. This is a common issue and needs to be addressed. Currently, this part is on nationwide backorder with a total reaching more than 5K units in demand and several have had this issue occur with any Dodge, Jeep or Ram vehicles with the 3.2L or 3.6L engines.

I’m going through the same problem, please email me nickgbayarea@yahoo.com if you have found what the issue was. I’ve changed the radiator and hoses and still no luck. And from your pictures that is exactly where my leak is at
