Car computer read engine hot/ac off

Asked by MoSo Oct 13, 2018 at 11:50 AM about the 2011 Chevrolet Impala LT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2011 Chevy impala. I noticed I had the
code come on saying engine hot ac off. I opened
the radiator cap noticed a reddish sludge build up
in it. What are some things I can do to get rid of it. I
bought the car about 5 months ago the problem
just started. What are some do it yourself remedies
I can try??

1 Answer

The red slidge is most likely stop leak radiator sealant if the car is secondhand which can be eliminated by flushing the coolant system and heater core
