my 2011 impala ls wont heat up while car is idling ,if i drive the car the temp gauge goes up. I've changed thermostat and waterpump not the problem. heat not working and cant drive it

Check the fluid level in the rad not the reservoir. Sounds like the engine's coolant system is air locked.

Heat not working along with the other systems are classic air lock systems. I just had the issue on my Beretta, sucks staring at the temp gauge moving close to the redline with no heat and the temp outside at -20F.
