my 2012 1500 sport 5.7 hemi is a big lemon!!!! I use 89 yes it cost more I also put 89 in my Chrysler 300. My truck had under 9,000 miles on it. It was very hot out side that day I truck wouldn't start. Tow truck got there took it up to the dealership and they couldn't find anything wrong. 2 months later my 4×4 went. I finally got the truck up and running took it to the dealership they said TODAY IS FRIDAY I said so. We can't give you a rental car so I told them of. Monday took it back to the dealership and I get a call the next day ok your truck is ready. I get the truck drive it to the side of the building shut the truck off what a shock the thing wouldn't start. My leather seat on the driver's side started to crack yes I'm a woman I weigh 125 pounds I'm the one that drives this lemon then my rear bumper started to rust around the back up cameras. Chrysler said that it was not covered under the warranty. I husband told Chrysler that HE DIDN'T PUT THE CAMERAS THERE. SO CHRYSLER REPLACED THE BUMPER. But o do use the 89 for the lemon. I have tried to get an attorney for the lemon law but nothing ever happened.

Try premium and note how it runs and the MPG. Then try other grades and see what works best for you. If you pay $3.00 for regular and $3.30 for premium a 10% increase in gas mileage would pay for itself. I doubt you would get a 10% increase but the power gains might be worth it.
