Headlights not bright

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. From day 1 the headlights do not seem
to be bright enough. I replaced both bulbs with no change & headlights are
adjusted properly. The problem is not in the leveling.

I purchased the truck new & the dealer installed an aftermarket keyless
remote that is connected to the headlights. I'm wondering if this installation
affected the power going to the headlights?
Ie, if the headlights had a bad ground, they would be weak. I'm wondering if
the problem is connected to the aftermarket keyless remote.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I doubt the remote has anything to do with the headlight brightness. There are high performance bulbs that are somewhat better than stock. Polishing the lenses with a product like Meguiar's G12310 PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish might help too.

If your truck has a volt meter what does it show? Low voltage will definitely make your head lights dim.

I have the same problem as you had with your head lights. I’m wondering if you found out the solution?
