unknown...if you're low on freon, then you got more problems than adding more will fix. Your best bet is to check the high n low pressure line switches to see if they're doing their job properly. Both should read a short across them so they'll send a signal to the ECM to power the relay to turn on the compressor.
Could the ref. be too low. Would topping up fix the problem
