Every time it gets cold my oil sensor essentially stops working. I have now changed to oil
sensor and the little screen in front of the oil sensor. First time, it cost me 130 bucks to
change the sensor then that worked for about a week. So I took it to the dealership and
had them change the screen in from of the filter. They also updated the computer which
cost 575 bucks. (for a 5 dollar part) Then of course, about a month later the temperature
dropped and now it is broken again. I have new oil in there as well. What in the heck is
going on?

How cold is cold is the oil u use rated at the temperature the engine is subject to? Does it stay on even after it is all the way warm?

I am still hoping that someone out there reads this and has figured this problem out. I have once again changed my oil sensor and the weather was nice for a while. then we had one semi- cold day and the sensor is broken again. It drops to 0 then if I get it up to 4000 RPM it will slowly rise then drop again. Obviously, i can only hold 4000 for a few seconds anyway unless i am trying to drive 100MPH. But still this is not an Oil problem, it is a sensor problem. A new sensor fixes it... then it gets cold, and i have to replace the sensor again... It is driving me crazy.
