Where is the shift motor open sensor
p1736 located & how does it look?

When I hear shift motor I think 4wd transfer case. Obviously that's not something applicable here! There are no mini parts that I could find which would fit the bill. My best guess is that it's referring to the cam position sensor. Here's a link that gives some background information http://p1736.engineerrorcode.com/
