how do I bleed the fuel line after running out of gas?

2010 F150 5.4l, ran out of gas, put 10 gallons in won't start. No in line filter. Tried turning key on and off 10 times, repeated twice, but won't fire. With the key on, bled the fuel line vent, but only got a dribble out each time, repeated 3 times. What is next?

did you hear the fuel pump activate or prime when you turned the key on and off? If not, you burned out the fuel pump. If you do hear the pump, you won't be bleeding the line, but flushing them. You must have sucked up all the grime off the bottom of the fuel tank into the line. You can also test for fuel pressure too, and check the fuel regulator and clean out the injectors.
