The drivers side door is used most often and is the one which tends to give trouble. Question: When you press the fob, or press the unlock/lock button, does the button on the door jiggle? If so, crud could be built up on the mechanism or the lock is getting weak. I have used WD 40 with success in the past. If that fails, remove the mechanism and bench test the mechanism and check for good electrical connections.

Initially it did but I had to force myself out of the truck when the door would not open. Once that happen, nothing makes it work not the fob, key or unlock/lock button.

If all the pegs jiggle, except the drivers side door when you push the button or the fob, chances are the lock inside the door is bad. Remove the inner panel and remove the lock to bench test. You should be able to locate a video on the net showing you how to remove the mechanism.
