Can I replace Door lock cylin

Asked by Patrick Aug 29, 2020 at 06:04 PM about the 2010 Ford F-150 XL LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The pin on the back side of the Door lock cylinder
seems to be rounded off letting the clip spin freely
and not inlocking. Where can I buy a door lock
cylinder

AutoZone says the cylinder is part of the handle, but when they look up the handle it doesn't come with a cylinder.

Rockauto.com shows the handle and the lock cylinder separately. Enter your vehicle information then go to the "body" tab. The only problem is the lock cylinder they show needs to be coded to match your existing key. In other words you have to put the tumblers in yourself. You might have better luck getting one from a junkyard with the key. Hope that helps! Jim

Your local Ford dealership can get one for you. I don't put that RockAuto crap on my vehicles. I support local business. Jim is correct, the replacement part will have to be coded so the key you have will work.
