Car keeps cutting off

Please help, my battery light has been coming on
but then it would go back off.  I went to hair salon
when I came back out my car wouldn't start, I got
someone to jump it was on for awhile then cut
back off there was corrosion around the battery, I
just got a new one in January.  What could be the
problem?

Get the alternator checked out. Any of the major auto parts stores will test it and the batter for free.
