CV axle splines and/or bearings

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The right wheel of my focus came off (because of loose lug nuts) left wheel
kept spinning while I move to the side of the road but the right wheel was not
spinning because the break disk was grinding against the pavement. Will the
cv axle splines damage? or what else can be damage because now I have
knocking sounds mostly when go over cracks or bumps on the road.
