2010 Chrysler T&C severe misfire

Asked by Guru2NYNY Feb 29, 2020 at 10:15 AM about the 2010 Chrysler Town & Country Touring FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My husband changed all spark plugs and spark plug wires
and now there is a severe misfire with the van. The plugs
that were in the van were really bad. What do you all
suggest our next steps to be?

the coil pack may have the numbers for each cylinder stamped to help figure out which wire goes where. 5, 1, & 3 are on one side and 2, 4, & 6 are on the other side....but the relative order does not match the layout of the engine's cylinders (which has 1, 3, 5 on one side and then 2, 4, 6 on the other. Since the 2, 4, & 6 does agree, i would guess your problem is with the 1, 3, 5.....they are on the right side of the engine (which is at the back as you look into the engine compartment from in front of the vehicle. They are ordered from left to right as 1, 3, & 5 so all 3 of them are probably wrong since the coil packs order is 5, 1, 3.
