Car stalling

Asked by Suzanne Feb 26, 2017 at 01:26 PM about the 2010 Subaru Impreza 2.5i

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car stalls ~1 second after start up. Starts up and
runs fine on second start. No codes. Doesn't seem
to matter if the engine is hot or cold. Happens
intermittently (every other start to every 15th start)

I would start with a tuneup and filter change. Use a good fuel system cleaner. Intermittent problems are a pain in the donkey. Until it codes you may not find the issue.

FOR may be correct, as leaking valve cover spark plug gaskets may have resulted in oil-fouling the plugs. So check plugs first.
