Nissan Altima ABS, VDC & Slip Lights on after tire rotation

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2010 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL with 50,000 miles. Today I went to my local garage and had the oil changed & tires rotated. After leaving all of the above listed warning lights came on. They have never been on before. I took it back and they reset the lights and told me it was a front and back wheel speed sensor. The lights were out when I left but came back on at 40 mph. I am a little unsure of taking it back to them. Looking for input before I take it to a dealer.

I'm 99% sure it's your speed sensors. If they were in there doing a rotation, they could have clipped a sensor wire.... Grrrrr. That's why I dislike garages. Lol.

you can buy the sensors online for around $20 each. I would inspect it to see if you can see anything visually obvious. They aren't too bad to replace.

Thanks Mark. I am assuming this isn't a cheap or easy fix. I am wondering how much noise I should make at the garage that did the work.

The wires aren't where they can be clipped so that is unlikely. and if a wire is clipped it would've been on as soon as the car was turned on. Could be anything from low brake fluid or dirt on one of the wheel speed sensors. Check fluid level then get codes before you go replacing expensive sensors.

My ABS and the two traction lights came on about 100 miles after I had both rear brakes completely replaced. (Just came on randomly, not while braking.) Took it back in and they said it was a wheel sensor. So they charged me another $270 to replace the sensor. Same idiot lights came on before I even got off their parking lot. Then they said the computer needed to be "retrained" and in about 20 minutes they gave me the car back again. This time I got about 15 miles before the lights came back on AGAIN. Anyone know WTF is going on?
