What could cause a bucking/jerking in a vehicle?

I had no engine lights or codes (checked twice) that come up on an Actron
CP9575 OBD II Auto scanner. Car bucks when at various times especially
when climbing hills. I also have a bright yellow fluid leak from underneath the
vehicle. Auto dealer is claiming bad spark plugs and oil cooler leak, wearing
struts and shocks. I haven't really noticed any big issues with the vehicle's
struts or shocks. Curious if the engine light or computer would show a misfire
or bad spark plug code? Concerned about being taken not an auto mechanic
