That exact problem happened to my 2010 and my heater core had gone bad. Which the dealer said is a common problem with dodge vehicles.

I replaced the blendor actuator & heater core & heat works good but make sure you take it to someone reliable because now I had to replace my coolant reservoir and now my fan was coming on constantly now it's not coming on at all and I just replaced the temperature sensor gauge. This is turning into a nightmare does anyone know if 2010 Dodge Journey has a temperature sensor gauge as well as a temperature sending unit? Not sure if my thermostat is sticking but I don't want to blow a head gasket please help
