Chrysler 2010 SRT no fob detection.

Asked by Steve Jan 04, 2017 at 04:48 AM about the 2010 Chrysler 300 SRT8 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Fob is not being detected by wireless ignition system , batteries have been
changed and still  standard start up procedure is not working . Normal
procedure foot on the break + push ignition with fob present will not work.
Can I add, this vehicle has been checked by chrysler via computer link and
error has been detected as aerial module requires replacement which might
not be the correct fix. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

You may need to reprogram the fob to the car, you will need your owners manual

Thanks joemom for your comments, just letting you know the fobs are still operational . They still work with central locking and boot opens and they still lock vehicle and initiate the alarm. I have gently removed the push button ignition button and now can start the vehicle by inserting key into ignition and starting the vehicle manually. Since the issue occurred the only faults are with the passive entry failure and the wireless ignition fault. Diagnostics have shown further testing between the PEM and the Antena G is required. Chrysler still has not been able to identify what exactly has caused the fault and I have been told the repair could end up being very costly. I believe this a factory fault and further assistance from chrysler head office should be given . The vehicle has only traveled 60,000 kilometres This is going to be a deep electrical issue what do you think?
