05 ford focus transmission

My 05 ford focus transmission went out so I'm replacing it
with one I got from a  junk yard. My question is will it have
to be programed?

If you have the correct transmission it should be plug and play. If you have the wrong one it will probably never work correctly.

Even if it is the correct one, let's hope the one from the junkyard works, as you know you are taking a chance.
