There is no screws, it is glued on to the windshield. I have never tried myself to remove one, but my friend did using some glue solvent mixed with hot water and when he pulled on the mirror with some force, it partially came off, in the process the windshield glass cracked. So, be very careful, and unless there is a good reason, I would leave the mirror where it is.

I just want to replace the mirror itself in my 2002 Subaru Forester. Last summer in super hot weather, the mirror delaminated! So now it's not really very clear to see,

The new mirrors in the SH subies have a screwless mirror bracket, u move the mirror to the side, grab the black mount bracket (where you would expect to find a screw) and twist it to the right and it comes off, there is a wire behind there that holds the mirror in place, no screwdrivers needed
