is service and part expensive for a subura legacy vs camrey or honda

I doubt there is much difference between the three. Subaru's may need more repairs than the other two which could run up the cost of ownership.

Putting water pump on 2003 outback legacy. Timing and everything is all good. I take off water pump. A. Friend mentioned about timing it. I said no it's all good except that pump. Should I have to put all timing marks in ace be for I put in New water pump

Be sure and get the cam timing correct when you replace the water pump or you will bend valves. Get a shop manual for your car!
