I changed transmissions and now it wont start

My car was having problems going in reverse its automatic. I put in a used one from
same year and now car does nothing when i try to start. Lights and everthing shut off as
soon as I try to crank

06 colbot when you replace the Transmission do you haft to reaprogam the car
