I have a 2006 2.2 ecotec engine . Would it fit and
plug perfectly into a 2010 2.2 but ecotec shell

Yes, although the electronics and wiring might be different. Make sure you get the ECM along with it and expect a few minor differences which may turn into major headaches. In other words do your homework carefully first, or find an engine from the same year car.
