What is the red blinking light, on top of my dashboard, of my 2020 Equinox comes on then goes off while I’m driving?

It’s an accident alert warning, it comes on when a possible accident could happen

I don't think that is the answer. My car is sitting in the driveway with that light blinking. If I unlock the car with the fob, the exterior illumination comes on for 30 seconds and then all is dark and normal. If I lock the car with the fob, after the exterior lights go out again, the red light is blinking in the center of the dash up by the windshield.

My wife’s Equinox has the same light, it is the security system light that shows it is operational. More information can be found in the owners manual.
