5w 30 synthetic in 2010 Camry ok?

I'm going to put my neck out there and say, sure, use good quality 5W/30 and don't think twice. It won't hurt your engine at its advanced age. I believe the 2010s were one of the few years Camry 4 cylinder engines were known for burning excessive oil. Thicker oil is your only defense unless you want to have an engine rebuild done. I would highly suggest Pennzoil Platinum Synthetic 5W30 for High Mileage engines. This made my 99 Camry 4 cyl stop blowing smoke at start up over a year ago now. I was using Walmart synthetic before the Pennzoil and my car burned it. With Pennzoil... barely any burning at all!

I see no problem with 5W30 oil. I use 5W30 in my Subaru that specs 0W20 oil and it has reduced oil consumption. It is important to know that you do not need 0 weight oil as this is only to benefit the car manufacturer in EPA tests in the first second or two after start up.
