I just bought a used 2010 Corolla. I haven't even had it a week and as I was driving to work this morning, the stereo started doing weird things. First I saw these strange bars across the display screen, It reminded me of Space Invaders (Anyone who was lucky enough to have an Atari will understand). When I pressed the seek button or presets, it would say "no disc", it was shutting off, the bars would appear, and it was just doing random things like this for a while. This continued for 10 to 20 minutes, and then it finally went back to normal. It worked fine for a bit, and then started doing the same things right as I arrived to work. This has me worried. What could be the problem?

Maybe Tom, good thought, but there are not a lot of 10th Generation Corollas radios in junkyards. A very few on eBay. The ones at salvage yards the audio systems are the first thing to go.. @soober, there were two different audio units offered in the 2010S, study your owners manual. May not all be lost. I tried to get the download link for your owners manual but the Toyota owners site is down right now... but have your VIN ready and go to - https://ssl.toyota.com/owners/login
