Powersteering, speedometer, dashboard warning lights

Asked by Erika McCormick Jul 11, 2020 at 10:05 PM about the 2010 Toyota Corolla LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Today something really weird happened. I had my grandpa look at my AC
because it has only been working when I am driving, when I am parked it
blows hot air. When he started to look at my car, all my warning lights on my
dashboard came on. The check engine, powersteering, abs, and brake lights
were all on. My powersteering all of a sudden didn't work, my windows won't
roll up or down, and my speedometer won't work. I took it to Toyota but they
can't get me in until Tuesday. Please help! I have a 2010 Toyota Corolla. Thank
you!

The AC problem may be the cooling fans not working. I wonder if your serpentine belt came off.

IT IS THE CLOCKSPRING, AKA THE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS PART ON MY 2010 COROLLA SO THERE PROBABLY IS ONE FOR YOUR CAR TOO. MINE UNFORTUNATELY WENT OUT AFTER TOYOTA REPLACED THE RECALLED ONE IN MY CAR, SO GO FIGURE. I PULLED ONE OFF AN 09 COROLLA AT THE JUNK YARD AND INSTALLED IT INTO MY CAR
